1959
The path to a second straight provincial volleyball crown began with BRHS emerging victorious over Annapolis, Middleton and Digby in the Congress tournament.
This advanced the team to the Valley Championship where they won a truly close fought final over West Kings.
The play-downs held at St. Pat’s High School provided the final test which determined that the BRHS squad were perhaps a bit better than the rest of the province as they faced teams from Hants West, Halifax, Yarmouth, and Tatamagouche. Bridgetown defeated all four teams in straight games to come out on top with 8 points out of a possible 8 points.
Once again coached by Jack Walker, team members were Allan Leonard, Bob Hannam, David Pick, George Gates, John Sproule, Jim Gillis, Bob Flecknell and Alfred Clark.
